11 ITIs from Odisha get place in India's top 100 list

BHUBANESWAR: As many as 11 industrial training institutes (ITIs) have secured place in India’s top 100 ITI list. The Union ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship (MSDE) has selected top 100 ITIs from 10,675 institutes in the country on different parameters.
Out of these 11 ITIs, seven are state government-run institutes. These were Government ITI, Berhampur got 11 rank, Government ITI Hinjlicut (15), Government ITI Jajpur (24), Government ITI Jharsuguda (45), Government ITI Puri (61), Government Technical Training Institute, Takatpur (73) and Government ITI Bhubaneswar (88).
The four private institutions were The Almighty Technical Institute (55), Dalmia ITI (64), Sriguru Industrial Training Centre (65), Industrial Training Centre, Charampa, (66).
Chief minister Naveen Patnaik in his tweet said, "I congratulate Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA), directorate of technical education and training as 11 of our ITIs are among the 'Top 100 ITI' list released by MSDE. Glad to see our focused attention to build a robust skill ecosystem in Odisha by strengthening technical and vocational education, is getting recognised."
OSDA chairman Subroto Bagchi expressed his happiness and thanked stakeholders of ITIs including teachers, students, staff and department officials for their effort.
