BENGALURU: Kunal Ganna, a resident of Rajajinagar, was so grateful to have recovered from Covid-19 at KC General Hospital in April that he fell at the feet of doctors who saved him. Since then, he has paid back by saving six others by donating plasma, most recently twice within a month.
Kunal (in pic), a post-graduate student of international business management at Napier University, Edinburgh, came home around March-end and went into home quarantine.
“As I had fever, I took a Covid-19 test and the report showed up positive. I was admitted to KC General Hospital where I underwent treatment and was eventually discharged,” he told STOI.
Some friends shared reports of how Covid-19 recovered patient’s plasma could help other patients. “I asked KC General Hospital doctors if they needed my plasma. It was a new thing for them, and they checked if it really helps. After they found it to be a potential line of treatment, I donated plasma for the first time in June,” Kunal said.
