Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that Centre is encouraging 'Make in India,' to reduce country's dependence of importing defence items. He also emphasized on 'Vocal for Local' by saying that India has banned importing of 101 defence items to promote indigenous equipments.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on August 09 addressed through a webinar to remember sacrifice of martyr Udham Singh. During his speech he remembered the sacrifice of martyr Udham Singh by saying that Singh was a prominent freedom fighter, who assassinated Michael O' Dwyer, the former lieutenant governor of Punjab.
