CM Yogi Adityanath to review steps to contain Covid-19 spread

NOIDA: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath, who reached Noida on Friday evening, will inaugurate the Sector 39 L2 Noida Covid Hospital (NCH) on Saturday after which he will inspect the integrated control room in Sector 59, said the district administration.
“The chief minister will inaugurate Noida Covid Hospital in Sector 39 around 9.30am on Saturday. It is the largest government Covid hospital in the state. There are other Covid facilities such as Government Medical Colleges as well as private Covid hospitals, but the L2 Noida Covid Hospital is the most advanced government hospital facility in UP in terms of bed capacity and modern equipment, including ventilators, CT scan, oxygen support, lab, blood bank facility etc.,” district magistrate Suhas LY told TOI.
The CM landed at Hindon airbase in Ghaziabad from where he flew to Gautam Budh University (GBU) via helicopter. He is expected to hold a meeting with MP Mahesh Sharma, Noida MLA Pankaj Singh, Dadri MLA Tejpal Singh Nagar, Jewar MLA Thakur Dhirendra Singh, Gautam Budh Nagar BJP President Vijay Singh Bhati etc., but nothing could be confirmed by the administration. He will spend the night at GBU guest house.
Following the inauguration on Saturday, the CM will have a walk-through of the integrated control room managed by HCL and subsequently will hold a Covid review meeting with the administrative and health department officials as well as with all six nodal officers of Meerut division, including Gautam Budh Nagar, Hapur, Bagh-pat, Bulandshahr, Ghaziabad and Meerut.
Adityanath will then leave for Saharanpur for his further programmes.
The CM last visited the district on March 30 when he came down heavily on then district magistrate B N Singh and former CMO Dr Anurag Bhargava for lack of adequate measures to tackle Covid-19 outbreak leading to their transfers.
