GURUGRAM: The district administration on Friday issued guidelines for “Unlock 3” in Gurugram. Following the Union ministry of home affairs (MHA) guidelines,
gyms and
yoga centres have been allowed to reopen with immediate effect.
Night curfew has also been lifted from outside
containment zones.
However, schools, colleges and other educational institutions will remain closed till August 31. In containment zones,
lockdown will continue to remain in force till August 31 and only essential activities will be allowed in the containment zones.
Deputy commissioner Amit Khatri told TOI, “We have allowed gyms, yoga centres to reopen outside the containment zones. However, they will have to follow the standard operating procedure (SOP) issued by the ministry of health and family welfare. Moreover, no night curfew will be imposed outside the containment zones. Restaurants have already been allowed to open in the last unlock guidelines.”
According to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by the Union ministry of family and health welfare (MoFHW), gyms and yoga centres should ensure placement of equipment, including cardio and strength machines, six feet apart, wherever feasible and also utilise outdoor space by relocating equipment.
Moreover, they have been instructed to stagger session timings and allow a minimum of 15 to 30 minutes between classes to avoid overlap between members arriving and leaving. Group fitness classes should be online and the number of persons allowed per group fitness class should be decided based on the size of the room and the nature of the fitness activity.
The Unlock 3 guidelines still have not allowed cinema halls, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres, bars, auditorium, assembly halls and other similar places to reopen. Social, political, cultural, sports, entertainment, academic, religious functions and other large gatherings have still not been allowed even outside the containment zones.
