Border disputes continue in the eastern Ladakh region in India and China. Meanwhile, the two countries will hold Major General level talks in Daulat Beg Oldi on Saturday. The two armies will hold talks to repel forces on the Line of Actual Control. This information was given by the sources of the Indian Army.

There is a possibility of talks between India and China on a plan to reduce tensions in the strategically important Depsang region. According to official sources, the Indian delegation will be headed by General Officer Commanding, Major General Abhijeet Bapat of the 3rd Mountain Division. Sources said the meeting's agenda is to ease tensions at Depsang, where both sides have extensively deployed troops on the disputed border.

It is estimated that more than 15,000 Chinese troops are stationed opposite Depsang. At the same time, India has also deployed troops, including an armored brigade. In the meeting, talks will be held to repel forces from areas considered strategically important by both the armies. Sources said that Depsang is considered a top priority area by the army due to its location in northern Ladakh.

Earlier on Sunday, the fifth phase of talks between the top commanders of the Indian and Chinese Army took place. This conversation lasted for about 11 hours. During this time India asked China to withdraw its forces from all the deadlocked locations along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). Discussions are being held at the diplomatic and military levels between the two countries to reduce tension on the border.

Officials familiar with the talks said that during the talks, India insisted on a complete withdrawal of Chinese troops from all the clashes along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Pangong Tso and East Ladakh.
