Bloemfontein Celtic booked their place in the Nedbank Cup final with a convincing 3-0 victory over Baroka FC at Orlando Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Lehlohonolo Seema's side will now face either Mamelodi Sundowns or Bidvest Wits in the final.

Ndumiso Mabena and Victor Letsoalo (2) got the goals for Phunya Sele Sele, while goalkeeper Sipho Chaine kept a clean sheet.

In the 10th minute, Celtic attacked down the right and the ball was played in towards Mabena, who put it just wide of the near post.

Ten minutes later, Baroka had their first attempt on goal and it was midfielder Gerald Phiri Jr with the long-range effort that went narrowly wide.

Shortly after the half-hour mark, Bakgaga were reduced to 10 men when Ananias Gebhardt was shown a straight red card for a reckless lunge on Lucky Baloyi.

With the first move of the interval, Phunya Sele Sele capitalised on their numerical advantage by taking the lead. Baroka 'keeper Elvis Chipezeze came a long way out, with Tebogo Potsane rounding but scuffing the shot. However, the ball was recovered by Andile Fikizolo, who teed up Mabena for the finish from close-range after a bit of a goalmouth scramble.

On the hour mark, Baroka had an opportunity and it fell to Tshidiso Patjie, but he shot straight at Chaine.

With 10 minutes to go, Celtic were awarded a penalty. Chipeze kept out a thunderous drive from Fikizolo, but Mabena followed up before being tripped up by Chipezeze. Letsoalo then stepped up and sent the Zimbabwean shot-stopper the wrong way to double Celtic's advantage.

Letsoalo grabbed his brace in injury time and put some gloss on the scoreline when he followed up on a rebound to stick the ball in to a gaping net.
