Air India Plain Crash: At least 18 people, including both pilots, were killed after boarding an Air India Express flight 190 from Dubai while landing in Kozhikode, Kerala on Friday amid heavy rain.

Officials said that after nearly three hours of operation, all were evacuated and at least 112 injured were taken to hospitals in Kozhikode and Malappuram districts.

The aircraft had 174 passengers, 10 infants, two pilots, and four cabin crew members. Udaan was part of the Vande Bharat program that is bringing back Indians from abroad amid the coronavirus epidemic.

CM Pinarayi Vijayan of Kerala said, "The Malappuram Collector has informed that the rescue operations at the site have been completed. All have been shifted to hospitals in Malappuram and Kozhikode."
