ULHASNAGAR: One person died and around 11 people were injured, four of them grievously, in a gas cylinder blast that took place at a vada pav shop at Ulhasnagar in the Thane district of Maharashtra.
The owner of shop, Ravindra Gupta alias Pappu, who was rushed to the Central Hospital, died during treatment.
The fire brigade officials said that those injured included customers, staffers and adjoining passers-by.
The incident took place on Saturday afternoon at camp number 4 in Ulhasnagar. The injured have been rushed to the Central Hospital and (private) Shiv Neri hospital in Ulhasnagar.
The fire brigade officials brought the fire under control later.
