In Kozhikode, Kerala, 20 people, including two pilots, lost their lives in a plane crash on Friday night. The incident on the tabletop runway was so severe that the plane coming from Dubai collapsed in two pieces. Now the Special Assistance Team of Air India reached Kerala, called Angels of Air India, for special care of the family of the deceased and injured.

In a statement issued by Air India Express, the 'Angels of Air India' team reached Kozhikode from Mumbai to coordinate the relief work and counseling the injured and the families of the deceased. Air India Express said in its statement that the Emergency Response Director is coordinating with agencies in Kozhikode, Delhi, Mumbai, and Dubai.

Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that if there was a fire in the aircraft, our work would have become even more difficult. I am going to the airport. The relief and rescue operations have been completed, preparations are being made to remove the debris and find the black box. There was a horrific atmosphere at the accident site after the plane fell into the ditch. In addition to the scream of the injured, crying children, and blood-soaked clothes, the noise of the siren of the ambulance created an atmosphere in place of the accident which left everyone shocked.

The plane landed at runway number 10 and ran towards the end of the runway and rolled into the ditch. According to aviation regulator DGCA, it was raining heavily during the accident, and visibility at the airport was 2000 meters. On landing, the aircraft slid off the wet runway and reached the slope, and its front part broke. Air India's Dubai-Calicut flight (IX-1344) slipped while landing at 7.41 pm on Friday evening. According to the information, the accident occurred due to the wet runway due to rain.
