Gorakhpur: State minister of backward class, welfare and empowerment of persons with disabilities, Anil Rajbhar gave instructions for continuous patrolling in flood affected areas of Gorakhpur district, during flood and relief and rescue work review meeting with officials.
In Gorakhpur, 112 villages have been affected by flood of which 45 have been marooned.
“Arrangemnet of fodder and 100% vaccination of animals should be ensured. Also provide health facilities in flood-hit villages and shelters and create awareness against communicable diseases,” the minister instructed the officials. He directed the officials to ensure that no deaths due to electrocution occur and provide drinking water supply.
District magistrate Vijyendra Pandiyan said that integrated control room is fully functional. “112 villages of the district are flood affected among which 45 are marooned. 86 flood pasts are established and 397 boats have been arranged,” said the DM.
