Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has now taken another major decision amid the growing transition of Corona in Rajasthan. The Government of Rajasthan has decided to exempt the motor vehicle tax (Motor Vehicle Tax) payable for the OmniBus category of spear transport vehicles sold during the period of nationwide lockdown imposed due to Corona epidemic.


Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has taken this important decision after approving the proposal received from the Finance Department and Transport Department. According to this proposal, motor vehicles payable for the period 1 April to 30 June 2020 to Omni Bus category vehicles of 8 and above meeting capacity, which is not listed in any permit category due to no-issuance of permits during the lockdown in Rajasthan. The full exemption will be given in tax. In addition, these vehicles will be given a 75 percent exemption in tax payable for July 2020.

It is noteworthy that this type of tax exemption was given on 24 June 2020 in the past for permit-bound buses in the context. This move of the Rajasthan government will provide relief to vehicle owners.
