Haryana: One dead, 16 new Covid-19 cases, 16 discharged in Kurukshetra

KURUKSHETRA: Kurukshetra recorded 9th death due to Covid-19 as a 45-year-old diabetic woman died on Friday evening, while the district reported 16 fresh cases, said civil surgeon Dr Sukhbir Singh.
“A 45-year-old woman of Sharifgarh village died of Covid-19 at the LNJP civil hospital, Thanesar on Friday evening. She was a patient of diabetes and blood pressure. After suffering fever for two days, she got admitted to the LNJP hospital on Thursday morning and her Covid-19 sample was collected which reported positive. The woman died on Friday evening”, said Dr Sukhbir.
“Sixteen people also tested positive for Covid-19 while the same number of patients were also discharged from hospital on Friday”, he said.
“With the recovery rate of 60.59%, the case tally reached 614 in Kurukshetra, of which, 372 patients got discharged, nine died and 233 are active cases”, he added.
