HYDERABAD: Dr
G Naresh Kumar, deputy district and
medical health officer of
Bhadradri Kothagudem district died of Covid-19 on Friday. The doctor was in the forefront of the battle against the virus in the district. He passed away at a hospital in Hyderabad.
Bhadradri Kothagudem collector M V Reddy while condoling the death of Dr Naresh Kumar said the doctor had recently got a seat to pursue post-graduation studies and was to have gone for higher studies. “He was someone who was completely dedicated to his work and strove hard to prevent the spread of Covid in the district,” the collector said.
Dr Naresh Kumar was in-charge of the Covid quarantine centre in
Manuguru and it was while he was here that he is said to have contracted the virus. The medical fraternity has condoled the death of Dr Naresh Kumar.
