The actress says she is doing things post the lockdown that she never thought she would ever do. “I tried freshwater scuba diving recently and it was awesome. The Prayaga who emerged from the water is very different from the one who went in. I feel very self-assured and free. I feel empowered that I took it upon myself to conquer my fear,” she says.Prayaga who has been scared of water since childhood was casually invited by her childhood friend, ardent diver and expert instructor Vivek Prasanth Pillai, to go to Piravam quarry two weeks back. “Since he is a close friend of mine. I decided to just go and I didn’t know that it was going to be a life changing moment for me. If not Vivek, I wouldn’t have ever attempted diving in my life,” she says, adding that they went diving following the new protocol which included disinfection procedures, screening, using personal gears and maintaining social distancing. The experience of being underneath water was ‘amazing’ and ‘I just wanted to be there’, says Prayaga excitedly. “It was so beautiful. It was green deep inside and so calm and peaceful. I was given basic instructions and also taught underwater communication. We need to be calm. Whatever happens underneath, if you lose your cool, you are in trouble. Being a restless person, it was a challenge for me. At one point, when it was too dark and deep, I got scared but I managed to go down till six meters. Apparently, it is a big thing to dive till six metres in the first attempt,” she says.
