UT education department advertises vacant seats in private schools under RTE act

CHANDIGARH: UT education department has invited applications from parents belonging to economically weaker section interested in admitting their wards in private schools under the Right to education Act. The admission will be offered against 74 seats that were left vacant at the entry level in nine private schools after the completion of admission process in February. Every year the UT education advertises vacant seats to fill the vacant seats.
Parents of the eligible students, interested for admission in any of the said schools will have to fill Online Google Form from August 10 till August 14. Education department has clarified that forms will be accepted for nearby school only and no forms will be accepted after due date.
Under the Right of Children Ito Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009 private schools are under obligation to provide reservation of up to 25% to the students belonging to Economically Weaker Section and Disadvantaged group in the Entry class under section 12(1) (c). UT education department has issued notice on its website for the vacant seats.
Details regarding vacant seats, eligibility age, required documents and link for Online Google Form is available in the detailed notice which is available on the website of Education Department. Details are also available on the notice board of the District Education office, in sector 19 and Government Model senior sector School, Sector 19, Chandigarh.
In case, a candidate wants to apply in more than one school, then he or she will have to fill separate Google Form for admission. The link for online Google form will be available on the notice board of District Education Office in Sector-19, Chandigarh, Government Model Senior Secondary School in Sector-19 and Chandigarh and also on official website www.chdeducation.gov.in.
The parents will contact the concerned school from August 24 to 26 till 1 pm to check the status of admission and for further details.
