Karnataka SSLC result 2020 not today; date yet to be finalised

NEW DELHI: Allaying rumours, the Karnataka primary and secondary education minister S Suresh Kumar on Thursday said that the Karnataka SSLC result date is not confirmed yet.
"The rumours that the SSLC results might be out on Friday are not true. The date of results has not yet been finalised," Suresh Kumar said.
Earlier, rumours were spreading across the social media platforms claiming that the Karnataka SSLC result to be announced on Friday i.e., August 7. However, the minister has denied it and further clarified that the result date is not decided yet.
Over 8 lakh students had appeared for the Karnataka SSLC examination this year. The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) conducted the SSLC examinations between June 25 to July 4, 2020. The Karnataka Board had postponed the SSLC exam from March to June following the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Every year, the KSEEB announces the Karnataka SSLC results by the end of April or the first week of May. This year, the Karnataka SSLC exam result got delayed due to the lockdown imposed to curb the COVID-19 spread.
Last year, the Karnataka SSLC result was released on April 30, and the pass percentage of the result recorded at 73.7%. Srujana D from St Philomena English High School, Anekal, Bengaluru south, and Naganjali Parameshwara Naik from Colaba Vithob Shanbhag Kalbagkar high school, Kumta, Uttara Kannada scored 625/625 and became the toppers in Karnataka SSLC examination 2019.
