The Bharatiya Janata Party has also supported the Ashok Gehlot government's postponement of elections in 129 local bodies of Rajasthan. The Bharatiya Janata Party said that due to coronavirus, elections are not possible in Rajasthan at present. In such a situation, it would be good if the election is postponed by the Commission.

Taking the civic elections, BJP spokesperson Ramlal Sharma said that we do not want elections at the cost of the lives of common people. Earlier, the UDH Department of Ashok Gehlot Government of Rajasthan recently requested the State Election Commission to postpone the election of the local body.

After this, the State Election Commission held a meeting with representatives of political parties on Thursday to decide on holding elections in 129 local bodies. In this meeting chaired by the commissioner of the commission, PC Mehra, the opinion of the body election was taken by the representatives of the political parties.
