Haryana: Wife of man held for killing his 5 kids gives birth to boy

JIND: The wife of a man, who has been arrested for killing his five children over the past few years, gave birth to their sixth child, a boy. The mother and the child are doing well and are admitted at Safidon’s civil hospital.
The brutal killings at Didwara village of Safidon town in Jind district were exposed when the accused, Jumma, threw his two daughters into a canal on July 15 night after giving them sleeping pills and later confessed to his crime before the panchayat. He is now in jail.
All five children aged between nine months and 11 years, which included two sons and three daughters, were killed by him in a span of two years.
Meanwhile, Safidon assisstant superintendent of police Ajit Singh Shekhawat said, “We have exhumed two bodies while one couldn’t be found. These had been buried by Jumma in a graveyard. We have sent them for DNA test at the PGIMS, Rohtak. The police took him in remand thrice for seven days, in which he changed several statements, but it seemed to be the outcome of a one-sided love with his sister-in-law.”
