Lucknow: BEd exam on Sunday, students can commute with admit cards

LUCKNOW: Lucknow University will conduct the UP BEd Joint Entrance Examination 2020-22 as per schedule on August 9. Clearing confusion over the non-availability of private and public transport and permission for movement on the examination day—which is a Sunday—the university uploaded detailed guidelines on its website on Wednesday.
LU officials said that the government has given permission to all candidates for movement on August 8-9. All they need is their admit card while travelling or commuting to the examination centre.
“As per government’s directions, every Saturday and Sunday, movement is restricted to avoid the spread of Covid-19. The examination is scheduled on Sunday and the government has given permission for movement. The candidates can travel on these two lockdown days. All they need is to carry their admit cards with them,” said state BEd coordinator Prof Amita Bajpai.
The examination will be held in two shifts from 9am-12noon and from 2pm to 5pm on August 9.
Candidates will have to reach the examination venue one hour before the scheduled time, she added. Covid-19 protocol will be strictly followed at all centres. Thermal scanning and sanitization of the examination centre will be ensured. More than 4.3 lakh candidates will be appearing for the examination at 1,089 centres across the state.
