Mumbai University First Merit List 2020 to be released today at 11 am
Since physical verification of documents is not possible this year, students will have to submit an undertaking to the colleges. Admissions will be given on provisional basis and will be confirmed after physical submissions later.

MUMBAI: Mumbai University will release the first merit list for undergraduate admissions today at 11.00 am. The Mumbai University First Merit List 2020 will be released online on the official website of the varsity. Students who have applied for the admissions to Mumbai University UG courses are advised to visit the official website of the varsity to check their name and details in the merit list scheduled to be released on Thursday, August 06, 2020.
On Tuesday, the Mumbai University had extended the deadline to admission schedule by a day due to heavy rains in the city. The online window to apply to college admission closed at 3.00 pm on Wednesday. This year, the university saw more than 25 per cent rise in the total number of students registering for admissions to city colleges.
Last year, around 2.6 lakh students had registered before the first merit list was out. This year, the numbers went up to 3.3 lakh. Principals attribute the rise in numbers to the uncertainty over admissions to professional courses and also over admissions outside Mumbai.
The Covid-19 pandemic has forced the Mumbai University and its affiliated colleges to go completely online for admissions this year.
