Tanisha Crasto selected for TOPS

Goa’s badminton star Tanisha Crasto has been selected in the TOPS (Target Olympic Podium Scheme) Olympic programme, launched by the Government.

The ambitious programme aims to groom the country’s best young talents so they can bag a medal in the 2024 and 2028 Olympics. Tanisha is among the select few 258 athletes shortlisted from 12 different sports disciplines, who will be part of the elite ‘Developmental Group’ for the TOPS Olympic scheme.

The 17-year-old said, she was extremely thrilled to hear this news early in the morning and that her dreams and goals right from the day she started playing badminton was to play the Olympics. She wants to top the podium and make her country and her parents proud.
