The recently launched Redmi 9 Prime is set to go on sale for the first time today. The phone will be available via Amazon India on Prime Day 2020. The Redmi 9 Prime is the first phone to arrive with the Prime moniker in India in five years.
Redmi 9 Prime Price
The Redmi 9 Prime is priced at Rs 9,999 for the base 4GB/64GB model. However, Xiaomi is also offering the phone in a 4GB/128GB variant for Rs 11,999. The Redmi 9 Prime is available in four colour options, including Mint Green, Matte Black, Space Blue, and Sunrise Flare. The sale for the Redmi 9 Prime will commence at 10:00 am (IST).
Redmi 9 Prime Specs
The Redmi 9 Prime is powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 chipset. The phone comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which can be expanded up to 512GB via microSD card. The phone packs a 5,020 mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. The device sports a 6.53-inch LCD FHD+ panel with a Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
For optics, the Redmi 9 Prime opts for a quad-camera setup with a 13 MP primary sensor at the helm. The main camera is paired with an 8 MP ultrawide snapper, a 5 MP macro camera, and a 2 MP depth sensor. The waterdrop notch on the screen houses an 8 MP, f/2.0 selfie camera.
The Redmi 9 Prime runs on Android 10 based on MIUI 11 out-of-the-box. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n at 2.4GHz, 3.5mm headphone jack, etc. The phone boasts a rear-mounted fingerprint reader on the back.
