Latest news today live updates: Television actor Sameer Sharma allegedly committed suicide at his home in suburban Malad, police said today. Sameer Sharma, 44, who worked in serials like 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi', 'Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki' and 'Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyar Ke', was found hanging from a ceiling fan in the kitchen of his flat in Malad (West) on Wednesday night, a police official said.
No suicide note was found at the spot and it is suspected he hanged himself two days back, Malad police station's senior inspector George Fernandes said.

Meanwhile, intermittent heavy showers continued to lash Mumbai a day after it was battered and shattered by stormy weather that left a trail of destruction, fallen trees or branches, hundreds of vehicles submerged or broken down, officials said here on Thursday.
A total of 34 roads and nine state highways have been closed for traffic movement in Maharashtra's Kohlapur on Thursday due to severe flooding in the area, a statement from the Kolhapur district administration informed.
