Our top story tonight at 5:30.

Shows aren't taking the stage at theatre macon right now, but things are happening behind the stage.

Staff say the new purchase of a neighboring property a couple of doors down will allow them to expand operations.

The theatre's income is limited to gifts and grants right now, but according to artistic director richard frazier, an incredible gift and a little financing will bring the new stage to life.

The new space will provide a dedicated separate space for new actors.

Theatre macon education launched earlier this year.
