Karnataka government issued an order lifting Sunday and night curfews from August 1, and allowed gyms and yoga institutes to reopen from August 5 in line with the Centre’s Unlock 3.0 guidelines.

*Karnataka on Wednesday crossed the 1.5-lakh mark in total Covid-19 positive cases and, in a major relief, its total number of recoveries surpassed that of active cases.
*According to the health department, the Karnataka has reported 1,51,449 positive cases till date and 73,958 of them are active.
*Karnataka reported 5,619 new cases and 5,407 discharges in the past 24 hours.
*Among the new Covid cases, 1,848 positive cases were reported from Bengaluru, taking the Bengaluru’s total tally to 64,881.
*Karnataka reported 100 more deaths in the past 24 hours, taking the toll to 2,804.
*Bengaluru reported 29 deaths, Mysuru 11and Dakshina Kannada 10 deaths.
