NEW DELHI: Around 54 stocks rose to touch their 52-week highs on NSE in Thursday's session.

<br>Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs were Aarti Drugs, Aurobindo Pharma, Akash Infra-Projects, Balaxi Ventures, BIRLASOFT, Caplin Point Laboratories, <a target="_blank" href="/hindustan-zinc-ltd/stocks/companyid-11982.cms">Hindustan Zinc</a>, FDC, Granules India, Indiamart Intermesh, Jindal Poly Films, Karda Constructions, Marksans Pharma, Polyplex Corporation, <a target="_blank" href="/strides-pharma-science-ltd/stocks/companyid-2118.cms">Strides Pharma Science</a>, MindTree and PI Industries.

<br>Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 79.45 points up at 11181.10 on Thursday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.

<br>Overall, 40 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 10 were trading in red in the afternoon trade. 
<br>
<br>In the Nifty 50 index, Zee Ent., ONGC, GAIL, BPCL and TCS were among top gainers, while Tata Steel, Maruti Suzuki, M&M, Eicher Motors and Bharti Airtel were trading in red.

<br>The BSE Sensex was trading 252.35 points up at 37915.68.
