Congress slams Owaisi for his tweet against Priyanka Gandhi, says Congress ideology is Hindu-Muslim bhai bhai

HYDERABAD: The Congress has lambasted Hyderabad MP and AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi for his tweet against Priyanka Gandhi over her support to the bhoomi pujan ceremony of Ram temple in Ayodhya.
All India Congress Committee secretary V Hanumanth Rao on Wednesday said Owaisi is craving for political mileage and is not able to tolerate Hindu-Muslim unity as communal he hears that communal harmony would weaken his leadership.
Owaisi in a tweet had slammed AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi for supporting the Bhoomi Pujan for Ram Temple in Ayodhya and saying that the event would celebrate national unity.
Owaisi had tweeted that: “Glad that they are not pretending anymore. It's okay if they want to embrace this extremist ideology of Hindutva but why all this hollow talk about brotherhood? Don't be shy, please be proud of your party's contributions to the movement that demolished our Babri Masjid.” The Congress veteran said Owaisi’s remarks are ridiculous and objectionable. What all Priyanka Gandhi tweeted was that Lord was for the welfare of everyone in the society which is a matter of national integrity.
“I strongly condemn Owaisi’s comment against Priyanka Gandhi. Congress party has always stood for national integrity. There Is no need for Asaduddin Owaisi to doubt the credentials the Congress. Owaisi does not have moral right to criticise either Congress or our leader Priyanka Gandhi,” Hanumanth Rao said.
The Congress veteran sought to remind Owaisi that Iqbal Ansari who had stood for reconstruction of Babri masjid was given the first invite for Ram mandir bhumi pujan and he accepted it also. The Congress will abide by the Supreme Court verdict on the Babri Masjid reconstruction at Ayodhya and our ideology will always be Hindu-Musiim Bhal Bhai,” Hanumanth Rao said.
