Strong north-easterly winds (50-70km/h) leading to dust storms are expected over the Richtersveld, Nama Khoi and Kamiesberg municipalities in the Northern Cape on Friday.

Mpumalanga will be cloudy in the east at first, with early morning fog patches, otherwise fine and cool to warm in the lowveld.
Limpopo will be partly cloudy in the east at first, with morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise fine and cool to warm.
The North West will be fine and cool, but warm in the north.
The Free State will be partly cloudy in the extreme south at first, where it will be very cold, otherwise fine and cold.
The Northern Cape will be cloudy and cool to cold, with morning fog along the coast, and interior frost over the southern high ground, where it will be very cold, otherwise fine and cold.
The wind along the coast will be light easterly to north-easterly at first, otherwise fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly.
In the Western Cape, there will be morning frost along the west coast, otherwise cloudy to partly cloudy and cool to cold. Isolated rain and showers are expected along the south coast, but light rain over the extreme north-eastern parts in the morning.
The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh westerly to south-westerly in the south, otherwise southerly to south-easterly.

The western half of the Eastern Cape will be cloudy and cold, with isolated showers and rain, but scattered along the coast. Snowfall is expected over the Sneeuberg.
The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly.
In the eastern half of the Eastern Cape, it will be cloudy and cold, with isolated showers and rain, but scattered to widespread south of the escarpment.
Snowfall is expected over the Winterberg and Drakensberg.
The wind along the coast will be strong south-westerly at first, becoming moderate to fresh.
There will be morning fog over the interior in KwaZulu-Natal, otherwise fine to partly cloudy and cool, but warm in the north.
Isolated showers are expected in the south and along the coast.
The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong north-easterly, becoming southerly to south-westerly from the south late morning and spreading to the north by afternoon.
The expected UVB sunburn index is low.
