NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading on a mixed note on Wednesday's morning session.
Shares of VBL (up 2.81 per cent), Jubilant Foodworks (up 1.53 per cent), Britannia Industries (up 0.87 per cent), United Spirits (up 0.64 per cent) and Marico (up 0.42 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Godrej Consumer Products (down 1.33 per cent), Dabur India (down 0.78 per cent), Nestle India (down 0.54 per cent), Hindustan Unilever (down 0.33 per cent) and TATA Consumer Products (down 0.24 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty FMCG index was trading 0.14 per cent down at 30858.9 around 10:37AM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 97.85 points at 11193.1, while the BSE Sensex was up 342.01 points at 38029.92.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 42 were trading in the green, while 8 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, SBI, Federal Bank and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
