UK-based investigation firm Grant Thornton has been appointed as the forensic auditor in the probe into the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajut, news channel CNN News18 has reported.

Mumbai Police had earlier told the news channel that they will bring in a third party – an independent forensic expert – to look into the account statements of the late actor.
It was earlier reported that financial discrepancies were found in Rajput's account statements, as his father had claimed in the FIR that Rs 15-17 crores were siphoned off by Rhea Chakraborty and her family members from the late actor's bank accounts.
The Enforcement Directorate had also filed a case in the matter.
