Heavy showers likely to lash the state till 6th of Aug: IMD

Indian Meteorological Department has said that squally weather with wind speed reaching 50 to 60 kilometres per hour is likely to prevail along Goa, South Maharashtra and Karnataka coast till the 6th of this month.

Fishermen are advised not to venture into these areas during till 6^th of August.

According to IMD Panaji, North and South Goa are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall till the 6^th of this month.

The rain will be very heavy at some places and very, very heavy at isolated places. After this period the intensity of rain is likely to decline.
