The Street Triple R replaces the S variant as the base and sits below the RS variant that was launched earlier in April.
Triumph has just announced the arrival of the Street Triple R in India. Scheduled for a August 11 launch, the event is set to take place on the Triumph Motorcycle India’s twitter handle due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Street Triple R replaces the S variant as the base and sits below the RS variant that was launched earlier in April.
Powering the new R is the same 765cc inline triple engine derived from the Moto2 bike, which churns out 116 PS of power and 78 Nm of torque. There is is no major difference from the outgoing R variant, but the Street Triple RS produces considerably more power at 121 PS and mildly higher torque at 78.63 Nm.Addictive level of performance coming your way on August 11, 2020. #TheDefinitiveStreetfighter #ForTheRide pic.twitter.com/zbdE51vSpB

In terms of design, the Street Triple R is not all that different from the RS. It will feature all the updates that the RS received like LED headlamps with the sick new DRL design and a more aggressive stance.
Internationally, the Street Triple series gets a range of accessories for the bike. The Triumph Street Triple R is expected to be priced at Rs 9 lakh whereas the range-topper, Street Triple RS is priced at Rs 11.13 lakh.
