UPSC Civil Services final result 2019 announced, Pradeep Singh tops
UPSC Civil ServicesNEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the provisional appointment list for the candidates who have qualified in the Civil Services Examinations 2019.
Based on the result of the written part of Civil Services Examination, 2019 held by the Union Public Service Commission in September, 2019 and the interviews for Personality Test held in February-August, 2020, the Commission has released the list, in order of merit, of candidates who have been recommended for appointment to:
(i) Indian Administrative Service;
(ii) Indian Foreign Service;
(iii) Indian Police Service; and
(iv) Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’

Pradeep Singh has topped the UPSC Civil Services (Main) Examination 2019 followed by Jatin Kishore and Pratibha Verma who ranked 2nd and third respectively.
A total number of 829 candidates have been recommended for appointment as per following break-up:
GENERAL - 304
EWS - 78
OBC - 251
SC - 129
ST - 67
Appointment to the various Services will be made according to the number of vacancies available with due consideration to the provisions contained in the Rules for the Examination.
Total vacancies
The number of vacancies reported by the Government to be filled is as under:
Note: * includes 45 PwBD vacancies (17 PwBD-1, 09 PwBD-2, 13 PwBD-3 & 06 PwBD-5)
The candidature of 66 recommended candidates is provisional while the result of 11 candidates has been kept withheld.
