'Today, a girl doesn’t need a brother to feel safe and protected': Sherlyn Chopra

The festival of Raksha Bandhan that celebrates the special bond between a brother and sister is centuries old. On the auspicious day, sisters tie Rakhi on their brothers' wrist, who in return promise to guard them from evil eyes. But actress, Sherlyn Chopra has a different take on the tradition. In a recent interview she revealed that she ties Rakhi to herself as she considers herself as her guardian and protector. Adding that today's woman can protect themselves and their family, too, she said, 'Every woman has the inner strength to become Kaali, the fiery Goddess who symbolises fearlessness, power, strength & sheer grit.'
