On the directions of UT administrator VP Singh Badnore, UT adviser Manoj Parida declared a few houses in Pipliwala town in Manimajra and a residential block of EWS Colony, Dhanas, as new micro containment zones.
Meanwhile, during the review meeting on Monday, Badnore advised PGI director to hold regular meetings with health directors of neighbouring states for a proper protocol in receiving patients from other states.
He also directed the DGP to ensure that there is no circulation of spurious liquor in any area to pre-empt any unfortunate incident.
Parida said the decision to close down Sukhna Lake during weekends was widely accepted in the city.
Badnore directed Arun Kumar Gupta, principal secretary, health, to start a dedicated dialysis facility for Covid patients requiring regular dialysis. This will reduce burden on PGI. All such patients may contact director-principal of Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32.
Badnore directed Mandip Singh Brar, deputy commissioner, to find additional facility where Covid patients could be accommodated, as and when such additional facilities will be required.
