Vikas Singh, lawyer of Sushant Singh Rajput's father, tells Supreme Court that quarantine (of Bihar IPS Officer Vinay Tiwari in Mumbai) is only to destroy the evidence. He also pleaded for a direction to Mumbai police to cooperate with Bihar police in the case.

SC says there is no doubt that a very gifted and talented actor has passed away under unfortunate circus stances. It says let Maharashtra govt respond and we will decide who will have jurisdiction to probe case - CBI, Bihar Police or Maharashtra police.

Solicitor general Tushar Mehta informed Justice H Roy that Centre has accepted the Bihar government's recommendation for probe into Rajput's death. He said even Rhea Chakraborty had requested the Centre to order a CBI probe.

SC grants three days time to Maharashtra government to file the status of investigation. It also asked Bihar government and Rajput's father to place their stand on Rhea Chakraborty's plea for transfer of Bihar FIR to Mumbai police. SC said it will hear the case next week.

SC says let Maharashtra police file an affidavit satisfying the court that it has done a professional job in the probe into Rajput's death.
