CHENNAI: CPM has decided to go door-to-door explaining how the Tamil Nadu government has failed to prevent the suffering of people affected by the lockdown.
The Tamil Nadu unit of the party convened a meeting of its leaders through videoconferencing in the last two days in which CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury and other senior party leaders spoke.
The party meeting decided to go to people from August 20 to 25. "There will be a people's movement under which we have decided to go door-to-door and explain to people how the government has failed to prevent the suffering of people without income and employment," said CPM state secretary K Balakrishnan.
The party meeting criticised the BJP government at the Centre for not allocating funds to Tamil Nadu and for implementing the new education policy.
