'Badhaai Ho' actress Surekha Sikri rubbishes rumours of her asking for financial help from friends, says she is not begging people for money!

Veteran actress Surekha Sikri who has three national awards to her credit, recently rubbished the rumours that said she asked for financial help from friends amidst the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. In a recent interview, Surekha said, 'I don’t want any wrong impression to be created among people that I am going around begging people for money. I don’t want charity. Yes many have reached out to me, which is very kind of them. I really feel grateful. But I’ve not taken anything from anyone. Give me work and I want to earn respectfully.' Earlier, the 'Badhaai Ho' actress raised her concern about government's decision to not allow senior actors and crew members over 65 years to resume shoot amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. She stated if politicians of the same age group are allowed to work, then why not senior actors.
