Gujarat: Surat city reports 198 fresh Covid-19 cases, five deaths

SURAT: The city reported 198 fresh Covid-19 cases, first time below the 200-mark after a week, on Monday taking the tally to 11,597. The city also reported six more coronavirus-related deaths, taking the toll to 510.
"City's posh Athwa zone continued to report the the highest Covid-19 cases with 40 followed by 33 in Rander, 29 in Varachha (B), 24 in Central Zone and 19 in Varachha (A) Zone," said an Surat Municipal Corporation official.
The city also saw 151 patients getting discharged after they were recovered from the infection, taking the total number of recovered patients to 8,037.
Meanwhile, Surat (Rural) reported 60 fresh Covid-19 cases and five deaths.
