Sushant Singh Rajput googled “Painless Death” before suicide: Mumbai police

Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput was suffering from bipolar disorder and was under medications. The Mumbai police on June 14 said that the actor had googled “painless death” and “Disha Salian”, his former manager who committed suicide on June 8. The actor who was suffering from a mental illness, completely in agony, googles his name in his last few hours. The details emerged from the actor’s mobile and laptop.

Mumbai Police Chief Param Bir Singh said, "It has come to surface that he had bipolar disorder, he was undergoing treatment and taking medicines for it. What circumstances led to his death is the subject of our investigation,"

Mumbai police after probing into the actor’s death, dismissed the initial report of a party being hosted at the actor’s apartment. Singh also clarified that no politician’s name had surfaced during the investigation. "There is no evidence against any politician from any party."

Sushant's father has lodged an FIR against the late actor’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty. Allegedly, Rhea had withdrawn Rs 15 lakhs from Sushant’s account. But the Mumbai police countered that figure. "During the probe, we found he had Rs 18 crore in his account, of which around Rs 4.5 crore are still there. Till now, no direct transfer to Rhea Chakraborty's account has been found, we are still investigating," Singh told reporters.

With each passing day, the case is getting murkier and Rhea has faced backlash on social media after the allegations of persuading the actor to death by cheating on him and mentally harassing him. On Friday, 31st July, in a video, she recounted and termed the allegations as “horrible” and said, “truth will prevail”.

Mumbai police chief said, "Her statement was recorded twice and she was called to the police station several times. I can't comment about her whereabouts,"

Singh added, "All angles are being investigated, be it professional rivalry, financial transactions or health. We have taken his laptop and phone as technical evidence, we will look into everything."

Singh also countered Bihar police saying that Sushant Singh's father, sister and brother-in-law did not convey any suspicion while recording their statements on June 16, two days after his death. Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide on 14th June. The actor has given several outstanding films like MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Chichore, kai Poche, Detective BomkeshBakshy, Sonchiriya, Dil Bechara, the actor's last film was released on 24th July on Disney+Hotstar.
