Government has relaxed norms for international flyers. According to the Union health ministry's new guidelines people flying into India can seek exemption from institutional quarantine. But they will have to produce a corona-negative report. Fresh guidelines issued on Sunday by the Union health ministry, the test should have been conducted within 96 hours of undertaking the journey. Passengers submitting false or forged medical reports will be prosecuted. Also, those coming to India for “compelling reasons/cases of human distress such as pregnancy, death in the family, serious illness and parent(s) with children of the age of 10 years or below” from August 8 onwards can seek home quarantine for 14 days, instead of seven-day paid institutional quarantine and seven-day home quarantine.
