Another Sydney Fitness First is closed as its exposed to coronavirus while four more Woolworths stores close in 24-hours after workers test positive

A Sydney Fitness First gym has shut after being exposed to coronavirus as another four Woolworths stores are closed. 

The gymgoer attended the Fitness First at Rockdale, in south Sydney, between 11.25am to 12.30pm on July 27. 

It is understood the gym closed for deep cleaning and anyone who attended the gym at the time has been advised to get tested.

A spokesperson for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District said there was a low risk 'as all close and casual contacts of the confirmed case have already been individually identified'. 

The infectious person is associated with the Apollo Restaurant cluster at Potts Point and has been counted in a public health alert issued on August 1. 

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Fitness First for comment.  

Four more Woolworths stores have also closed for COVID-19 cleaning within 24 hours in Melbourne after three workers tested positive to coronavirus. 

The Australian chain shut supermarkets in Bundoora, Cranbourne East and Karingal Hub shopping centre for overnight cleaning on Sunday. 

A store in Newmarket was also closed for cleaning on Monday.   

The employee from the Karingal Hub and Bundoora stores last worked on July 28 while the employee at the Cranbourne East store last worked on July 29.  

The final employee last worked at Newmarket on July 30.  

Any shoppers who visited the stores on those days have been urged to monitor for coronavirus symptoms for the next two weeks.

Woolworths said all four stores were closed for deep cleaning overnight.    

'As a food retailer, we already have very high standards of cleaning and hygiene in place,' the retailer said in a statement on its website.  

The supermarket said customers could continue to safely shop.

'While the risk of transmission to customers and team members is low, the safety and wellbeing of the local community is our priority.' 

New South Wales has recorded 12 new virus cases on Saturday and another 12 on Sunday after conducting almost 22,500 tests. 

Stricter hygiene measures were also introduced on Saturday with gyms required to register a COVID-safe plan and have a dedicated hygiene marshal on-site. 

Victoria declared a State of Disaster on Sunday afternoon after 671 new COVID-19 cases that day - bringing the state's number of active cases to 6,322. 

Until at least September 13, Melbourne residents are now banned from leaving their homes between 8pm and 5am other than for work, care-giving, medical reasons or on compassionate grounds.
