The Bicholim taluka accounts for 63 active cases which includes 16 cases in Bicholim, 7 in Mayem and 40 in Sankhali.
So far 108 patients have recovered from the virus in the taluka, informed Dr Uttam Desai, Dr Medha Salkar and Dr Sidhi Kasar.
All village panchayat members have been alerted to stay alert.
A panch member from Narve said that the government has allowed the positive patients to stay in home quarantine which is also a matter of concern in the villages.
Meanwhile, sanitisation drive was conducted by fire personnel at Nanoda and Punarvasan Sal Bicholim taluka where COVID positive cases
were detected.
Bicholim mamlatdar had issued directions to the fire personnel to senitise the said areas.
