Assam govt issues guidelines regarding permissible activities in the state
Delhi records 961 fresh coronavirus infections, death toll mounts to 4,004
1,23,317 patients have recovered, migrated or been discharged while the number of active cases stood at 10,356. Fifteen people died of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 4,004, they said. The infection tally stood at 1,37,677. A total of 4,289 RT-PCR and 8,441 rapid antigen tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. The number of containment zones was 496.

Hyderabad International Airport gets 'mass fever screening system'
"The new thermal scanner is capable of scanning, detecting and tracking febrile persons with elevated skin temperature. The system automatically adjusts and adapts to the surrounding ambient temperature without any human intervention," read an official press note by the airport. With its Intuitive User Interface and Dual-Displays (Day Camera + Infra-Red), the scanner provides easy identification of passengers with elevated temperature while simplifying operations and minimising handling.
Philippines coronavirus cases top 100,000
Coronavirus infections in the Philippines surged past 100,000 Sunday after medical groups declared that the country was waging “a losing battle” against the virus and asked the president to reimpose a lockdown in the capital. The Department of Health reported a record-high daily tally of 5,032, bringing the total confirmed cases in the country to 103,185, including more than 2,000 deaths. The Philippines has the second-most cases in Southeast Asia after Indonesia.

ICMR plans to set up registry of hospitalised Covid-19 patients
A registry of hospitalised Covid-19 patients across the country is being mooted to collect real time data which will help improve treatment outcomes, analyse trends in the progression of the pandemic and calibrate response, officials said. The ICMR in collaboration with the health ministry and the AIIMS is planning to set up the National Clinical Registry which will help researchers and policy makers understand effectiveness of investigational therapies, adverse effects taking place and generate evidence for improving the treatment of Covid-19 patients.
Israeli minister for Jerusalem tests positive
An Israeli Cabinet minister says he has tested positive for the coronavirus. Minister for Jerusalem and Heritage Rafi Peretz tweeted late Saturday that he received a positive result after being tested the previous day. He said he felt well. Peretz is the second Israeli minister to have been infected with the virus. Israel's former health minister, Yaakov Litzman, also contracted it and later recovered.

Night curfew in Melbourne after 671 new cases
The premier of Australia's hard-hit Victoria state has declared a disaster among sweeping new coronavirus restrictions across Melbourne and elsewhere from Sunday night. An evening curfew will be implemented across Melbourne from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Premier Daniel Andrews says the state of disaster proclamation gave police greater power.
