Boney Kapoor, who is bankrolling the project under his banner Bayview Projects LLP, is planning to take the film to the Hindi audience as well. However, an official confirmation on this is awaited. Valimai will have Ajith playing a cop after Yennai Arindhaal in 2015. Huma Qureshi is said to be playing one of the two leading ladies. Yami Gautham is said to be the other female lead, but the team has not made an official announcement on the cast and crew yet.
