update: With 54,736 new confirmed cases on Sunday, the tally in India rose to 1,767,836, according to The death toll from the infection jumped to 37,690.

Coronavirus global updates: The global caseload on Sunday jumped to 18,071,811 as the US continued to be the worst affected country with 4,763,983 cases and 157,877 deaths.
