Noida Authority officials assured the RWAs to look into their concerns. NOIDA: Four RWAs from Sector 82 held a meeting with senior officials of Noida Authority in the sector and raised several issues including water shortage in the 400 odd janta flats, clogged sewers, park development and horticulture related pending work, road resurfacing, broken power cables, panel boxes etc. and some non-functional street lights.
“Today Noida authority officials visited Sector 82 where four RWAs of Udyog Vihar, Swarnim HIG flats, Janta Flat pocket 7 and Swarnim Duplex apartment were present. During the meeting, Nand Kishore Solanki, RWA president Janta flats Pocket 7 comprising four floors, informed that due to low pressure of water, the supply is not reaching the floors above ground floor flats in the sector. Due to this, residents are facing the acute shortage of water and tankers have been sourced for supply in the area. The authority officials under Rajeev Tyagi, general manager work circles 1-10, assured that a separate pipeline will be provided for the area, so that water can reach all floors,” said KK Jain secretary general Federation of Noida Residents Welfare Associations (FONRWA), the apex RWA body that is currently visiting different residential sectors along with concerned authority officials to redress civic issues subject to that sector.
FONRWA president Yogendra Sharma who was also present in the team, added that Sector 82 seemed to be neglected for long as other three RWAs from the sector raised problems related to clogged sewers, pending road surfacing work, development of parks, cleaning of drains and pruning of trees, shrubs and overhead cables and broken panel boxes. “Some also complained about non-functional street lights leaving safety issues in the dark,” said Sharma.
While Vijay Rawal, senior project engineer, assured horticulture and sanitation related work to begin with immediate effect, Gaurav Bansal assured correction of repairing the streetlights. “We have taken note of the problems and work will be done on priority to fix these problems,” assured Tyagi.
