83 new cases in Gzb, Noida reports 133

Ghaziabad: As many as 83 fresh Covid-19 cases were added to Ghaziabad’s tally on Friday, taking the total number of cases to 4,937 in the district. So far, 4,114 people have been discharged after treatment. The death toll stands at 64 and the district has 759 active cases.
According to officials, 107 asymptomatic patients are in home isolation.
Meanwhile, in an order issued on Thursday, the additional chief secretary (health) directed district authorities to ensure that of the 108 ambulances available in the district, up to 50 per cent of the vehicles can be used to transport Covid-19 patients. Apart from this, ambulances of private hospitals and those available with government hospitals will also be used. Ambulances can also be taken on rent.
GB Nagar on Friday reported 133 cases. Officials said, 66 people have recovered in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of discharged patients to 4,365. While the death toll is at 42, active cases are at 796 taking the total tally to 5,203. The district administration notified 485 containment zones or these, 435 are in Category 1.
