HYDERABAD: A 23-year-old man, who allegedly harassed a woman advocate by sending sexually explicit photos and messages on Whatsapp, was arrested from Adarsh Nagar by Cyber Crime police, Rachakonda in the Hyderabad district of Telangana on Saturday.
Rachakonda police said that M Durga Prasad, who is allegedly addicted to watching porn, has been collecting phone number of girls from different social media platforms. He used to send lewd messages and objectionable photographs.
"He also used to make video calls to innocent women and demand their nude photographs. If the victims refused to do, he used to threaten them to post their mobile numbers on porn websites," Rachakonda police said.
Officials said that the accused was arrested under sections 354-D and 509 of the IPC and Information Technology Act. The accused is a repeat offender, since he was arrested in the year 2017 for similar offence. The accused was arrested by tracking him based on the phone numbers from which he used to send messages. From him police seized his phone and few other gadgets.
